🚨 Tasmania Skilled Migration Update – 2025–26 Program Closing Soon

The Tasmanian Skilled Migration State Nomination Program is officially closing registrations for the 2025–26 program year on 3 June 2026 at 5PM due to high demand.

📌 Key Updates:
✅ ROI applications for all pathways will close on 3 June 2026
✅ Final invitation round scheduled for 4 June 2026
✅ New applications and ROIs will reopen in the 2026–27 program year
✅ Limited nomination places remain for this year
✅ Approved applications may still be nominated under the 2026–27 allocation if current places are exhausted

Remaining nomination places:
• Only 88 places left for Subclass 190
• 213 places left for Subclass 491

⚠️ Important:
Submitting an ROI does not guarantee nomination. Applications not invited before program closure will remain in the system for consideration in the next program year.

AUSTRALIA’S 2026–27 MIGRATION PROGRAM UPDATE

The Australian Government has confirmed that the permanent Migration Program planning level for 2026–27 will remain at 185,000 places, with over 70% allocated to skilled migrants.

Key highlights include:
✔ Greater focus on skilled migration
✔ Priority for applicants already living in Australia
✔ More focus on younger, highly skilled, and better-educated migrants
✔ Potential reforms to the skilled migration points test
✔ Offshore places expected to mainly target highly skilled occupations Australia needs long-term

The Government has also indicated that future migration reforms will focus on Australia’s workforce shortages and long-term economic growth.

⚠ At this stage, no official changes to the points system have been announced yet.
