If you do happen to let them go, don’t torture them by leaving them guessing about where they stand. Be kind and give them the peace they deserve for what they gave you and be clear about letting them go…. After all it’s your stupid fault for not holding on to them when they wanted to stay in the first place. 😊

I was given a crown to wear or a Halo known by some.
The difference is up here, they are worn by everyone.
I felt a sense of peace, my reign had seen its end.
70 years I had served my Country, as the peoples friend.
Thank you for the years, for all your time and love.
Now I am one of two again, in our Palace up above.

Today I surprised myself when I had to admit I had managed to commit and stick to something until I achieved a result I never thought I’d see. Since June last year when I couldn’t walk up my street, wouldn’t dream of taking the stairs at court and barely left my house I’ve lost 25kg more weight than ever in my life... I still have a long way to go but already the difference I have to admit I have within myself is something I know I have to acknowledge. The change, while a choice was a choice of desperation I knew I was on an unhappy path I could feel the strain on my heart walking only a few 000 metres. Now knowing I can walk 10 blocks in New York, scuba dive and walk even a kilometre with friends without feeling like death is a relief. last year I would have thanked myself with a nap, today I thanked myself by going for a walk...
