WHAT'S THE BEST THING AUSTRALIA GAVE YOU? Higher salary? Work-life balance? For everyone, it's different -- but there's one other thing Filipinos especially appreciate about Australia: the opportunity to be more active, and have more outdoor spaces.

As someone who enjoys being active and fit, I think a lot of Filipinos just don't get that fair opportunty. The parks, trails, and outdoor spaces are limited because the taxes aren't being used in the right places.

DOES AUSTRALIAN IMMIGRATION HAVE A VISA REFUSAL QUOTA? This is a question that might surprise some people, but we get asked this.

The answer is NO. Australian immigration does not have a "visa refusal quota". A case officer from the Department of Home Affairs cannot refuse a visa without a valid reason. This can be home ties, reason for studying course, or financials.

So, don't listen to everything you hear online. Whether your visa will get refused or granted will depend entirely on how your GS statement is written, and what course you chose.

They may know more about visas, courses, and pathways than you, but always remember: this is YOUR future, and YOUR money. You should decide what course you want to study, what pathway you want to explore, and what your next step is.
