Social Justice Opportunities (SJOpps) is a website that aims to help law students and early-career lawyers embark on a social justice career and/or get involved in volunteering.

⚖️Exciting opportunity for future social justice lawyers!

Legal Aid NSW and UNSW Law & Justice have teamed up to launch a new internship program aimed at fostering interest in regional legal practice among aspiring solicitors.

The internship is open to LLB and JD students in their penultimate or final year in 2027. This 3-week hands-on placement starts on 18 January 2027 in Broken Hill, Dubbo, or Wagga Wagga.

📍 Key dates:

📩Applications open: Monday 21 September 2026
💬In-person info session: Thursday 24 September at 1:00pm in the UNSW Law Building
✨Placement starts: 18 January 2027
