Land tax, often a significant impost on property ownership, is looming as one of the few downsides to the recent growth in property values.

The Valuer General property notices for the 2021 year are currently being issued. If you have concerns about the impact on land tax, you may wish to consider an objection to the VG assessment. Objections need to be lodged strictly within 60 days of issue date and requests for extensions are rarely granted.
