Lawyers: 10 CPD points online for $330. All four compulsory field units. One day. Tomorrow!

If you haven’t seen this on your calendar, Legal Training Australia’s full-day online workshop for lawyers is running tomorrow, Tuesday 13 October 2026.

Join immigration lawyers Marsha Bassily and Arnela Tolic from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm for a practical program covering all four compulsory CPD fields:
β€’ Ethics and professional responsibility
β€’ Practice management and business skills
β€’ Professional skills
β€’ Substantive law

The morning begins with Marsha Bassily, Founder and Principal Immigration Lawyer at MB Lawyers, exploring ethics, practice management and the professional skills and substantive law issues surrounding Public Interest Criterion 4020.

After lunch, Arnela Tolic leads three two-hour sessions examining:
β€’ Visa cancellation under section 116 of the Migration Act
β€’ The intersection of family law and migration law, including partner visas and family violence provisions
β€’ Australian citizenship, criminal convictions and character issues

These topics reach well beyond completing your annual points. They concern decisions that can affect a client’s visa status, family relationships and future in Australia, and the professional judgment lawyers bring to those matters.
For lawyers practising in migration law, or whose family, criminal or other legal work intersects with migration issues, this is an opportunity to strengthen your knowledge while completing a substantial day of CPD.

Attend online. No exams. A 30-minute lunch break.
