Our client was the first in Australia to avoid imprisonment for breaching a terrorism control order. 8 people have only ever been charged with this Commonwealth offence. All of them went to prison. Joe Harb at his best at the Parramatta District Court. The court accepted there was no terrorism related conduct by our client. Congratulations to our client Mehmet and his lovely family.

Artem faced huge penalties and possible imprisonment for protesting outside the National parliament. A victory for the client and Joe Harb at the ACT Magistrates court today. No convictions on both charges and one charge of assault police withdrawn.

No convictions for 6 climate protestors today. Moderate fines for 7 others. Last year all of them were facing 2 years gaol. It’s taken 9 hard months but the anti protest laws turned to dust today.
