Bridging Visa B Granted — Excellent Result

I am pleased to share that a Bridging Visa B (BVB) has been granted.

Application date: 21 April 2026
Grant date: 24 April 2026

This was a very quick outcome, and what makes this grant even more surprising is the duration: 5 years. This is the first time I have seen the Department of Home Affairs grant a BVB for such a long period. Amazing result.

If you are in Australia and currently hold a Bridging Visa A (BVA), you need a Bridging Visa B (BVB) before travelling overseas. If you depart Australia while holding only a BVA, your BVA will be cancelled after passing passport checks.

A BVB serves as a travel facility, allowing you to leave Australia and return while you wait for the outcome of your visa application or ART matter.

A Bridging Visa B (BVB) has been granted following an offshore Subclass 186 application.
