Section 601AA may appear administrative, but Vero Insurance Ltd v Nicejade Pty Ltd [2010] NSWSC 556 confirms it is a narrow mechanism, not a shortcut. Where voluntary deregistration circumvents winding up or frustrates creditor claims, reinstatement under s 601AH(2) may follow with property revesting and liabilities revived.
