NSW SKILLED OCCUPATION LIST FOR 190 AND 491..

There are few changes to the visa requirements along with the change in the occupation list.

@ To apply for NSW nomination for 491 visa, you must:

1. Ensure you are eligible for the Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491).

2.Confirm you meet the criteria under a NSW nomination stream.

3.Complete an EOI in SkillSelect.

4.Register your interest during a submission window.

5. Be invited to apply.

6. Apply to an RDA office where your skills are required within 14 days

Nomination Criteria ÷ There are three nomination streams this financial year:

Stream 1 — I am living and working in Regional NSW.

Stream 2 — I have recently completed study in Regional NSW.

Stream 3 — I am skilled in an occupation required in Regional NSW

Preference is given to migrants registering their interest under stream 1.

Temporary Skill Shortage visa

This temporary visa lets an employer sponsor a suitably skilled worker to fill a position they can’t find a suitably skilled Australian to fill.

Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482) Medium-term stream

Stay Up to 4 years.

With this visa, you can:

1. work in Australia for up to 4 years.

2. Travel to and from Australia as many times as you want while the visa is valid

3. If eligible, apply for permanent residence

You must

1. Be nominated to work in an occupation on the list of eligible medium and long-term skilled occupations

2. Have at least 2 years relevant work experience in your nominated occupation or a related field.

3. Have a relevant skills assessment if this is required for your occupation.

4. Work only for your sponsor or associated entity, unless you are exempt.

5. Meet minimum standards of English language proficiency unless you are exempt from needing to show this.

482 visa can lead you to permanent residency under Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186). This visa lets skilled workers, who are nominated by their employer, live and work in Australia permanently.
