At Cobar in central NSW for an investigation and Expert Report. Great to see some rain and lots of green areas. Last time I was out here it was 40+ degrees now it's 9 degrees and raining. We live I. An amazing country 😃

I presented evidence for a number of hours in court for this matter. Having good records is important for an Expert. Especially when these notes become very significant.

Deadly Takata during COVID-19.

Nearly 200,000 vehicles fitted with potentially deadly airbags are still on the roads, and more than 8,000 of these are considered so dangerous they should not be driven at all.
In addition, a significant number of vehicles fitted with a different type of faulty airbag are yet to be remedied. These vehicles, which are fitted with Takata airbags, are considered so dangerous that manufacturers are offering to buy back the vehicles or to provide a loan vehicle until replacement parts are available.
There have been two deaths and two injuries in Australia resulting from misdeployments of Takata NADI airbags.
You should check online or at the dealer or manufacturer whether your vehicles are subject to this compulsory recall or the voluntary recall of Takata NADI airbags.
Even if your vehicle has already had the recall, check again as some of the recalled bags need to be REPLACED AGAIN.
Finally never ignore a notice of recall from your car’s manufacturer.

The devastation of my building, well it’s not my building any more I no longer own it but have to put 10 or 12 years into this place. I still think of it as my business. Sutherland Shire Auto Centre has burnt out the charities here been burnt and the pet place upstairs, which hopefully didn’t have animals in it, has also been affected, along with all the other people upstairs. It looks like the fire started in the upper area. I wonder as an expert if I get called into the fire investigation and vehicle loss? Hearts out to all the business owners and people involved.

Fun Friday;

As an automotive expert I get to see a range of challenging automotive issues and problems, and I am instructed to report and give an opinion in many areas. However, once the report is written and used in a legal proceedings as the matter is before the court, I do not always get a lot of feedback.
