A little piece of Kawana history 💛🙌

I absolutely love coming across treasures like this. A long term local pulled this original out when I went to appraise her property. Love proud coasties!!!

This old advertisement from 1960 shows the early vision for the Kawana corridor — when so much of what we know and love today was still just an idea on paper.

It’s incredible to look at the waterways, beaches and neighbourhoods being imagined all those years ago and think about the generations of families who have since built their lives here.

More than 65 years later, Kawana has certainly changed, but that connection to the water, our beautiful coastline and the relaxed way of life still feels very much at the heart of this special part of the Sunshine Coast.

I have been on the Coast for 47 years and there’s something lovely about looking back at where it all began. 🤍

There’s something very special about living in a pocket of the Coast where people genuinely care about their neighbourhood, look out for one another and are proud to call it home.

My connection to property runs deep. A lifelong Sunshine Coast local, I grew up watching my father and grandfather build a successful Coast agency in the 1980s. With more than 30 years of experience across corporate and private sectors, including six years specialising in the Kawana Island and 4575 property market, I brings a wealth of local knowledge and hands-on experience to every client.

Beyond sales, I have personally renovated, developed and flipped properties across the Sunshine Coast, giving me a genuine understanding of what a property is and what it could become.

CasaBode was created from that experience and a simple belief: property can genuinely change how people live. For me, it is about more than transactions. It is about building relationships, communicating openly and helping people move forward with clarity and confidence.

So much behind the scenes happening over the last week, from locking in design and templates, ordering signs, finalising compliance, getting vendors ready to wear our colours with pride, all while remembering to take a breath!
Excited and nervous ……but a whole lot of belief that we are on the right track! 🙌🙏

Sometimes it’s good to simply look back, appreciate how far you’ve come, and feel excited for what lies ahead.
