The Apollo clearance rate maintained a healthy national result this week, achieving a 52.8% clearance rate, a slight dip from last week’s high. Encouragingly, auction volume increased despite the impact of consecutive long weekends over Easter and ANZAC Day.

Buyer engagement remained strong, with registered bidders rising to an average of 2.8 per auction and 69.1% actively participating, highlighting continued competition across the market. Attendance also grew to an average of 22 onlookers per auction, reflecting steady buyer interest.

With resilient bidding activity, the auction market remains on solid ground as we move deeper into the second quarter. 🏡 With the Federal Election approaching, we look forward to tracking and sharing the shifts in data over the coming weeks.

Apollo’s clearance rate remained solid this week at 62.5%, only slightly below last week's 63%, reflecting continued market resilience. 🏠

🐣 As expected, the Easter long weekend saw a significant dip in auction volume, with fewer than 1,000 auctions held nationally—the lowest total so far this year and a notable drop from over 4,000 the previous week.

Auction attendance softened, averaging 19.5 spectators per auction, while registered bidders fell to 2.2. That said, 84.2% of those bidders were active, reinforcing that serious buyers remain highly engaged—even during quieter periods on the calendar.

Whilst numbers were down, buyer intent was clear. The interest is there when the right opportunities come to market.
