🌱 Take a read of the BHG post… I’ve done some research and found these no-mow lawns suitable for the Dorset Region.

BRIDPORT: Sandy soil, salt tolerance and handling the coastal breeze.
• Top Pick: Prostrate Grevillea. Naturally loves sandy, lean soil, handles the wind, and brings in native birds.
• Runner Up: Thyme. Thrives in the sun and sand, creating a tough, highly aromatic carpet that loves sharp drainage.
• Shade Option: Kidney W**d (Dichondra). Safe from the heavy inland frosts here! Give it a little summer water and shade.

SCOTTSDALE - RINGAROOMA
Red nutrient rich soil, frost tolerance and free draining.
• Top Pick: Native Violet. An absolute powerhouse in the rich red soil. It handles the frost perfectly and forms a lush, green mat.
• Runner Up: Star Creeper (Pratia). Loves a fertile loam, knits tightly into a durable carpet, and handles light foot traffic well.
• Frost Buster: Clover. Super hardy against winter frosts and actively improves the soil.

⚠️ ONE TO AVOID: English Ivy. While it loves our climate, it is a highly invasive environmental w**d in Tas!

For regional Tassie, this could mean buyers take a little more time to make a decision, especially if they’re relying on a home loan. Buyers are still out there, but price will matter.

Homes that are priced well should continue to get attention, while others may take a bit longer to sell.
