WA continues to remain one of the strongest states for skilled migration opportunities under the Subclass 190 and 491 programs.

South Australia continues to issue invitations under the 2025–26 Skilled Migration Program, with strong activity across several high-demand sectors.

Leading occupations invited so far include:
• Health Professionals (141)
• Engineering, Science & Transport (72)
• Construction Trades (44)
• Engineering & ICT Technicians (38)
• ICT Professionals (28 – predominantly subclass 491)

Current trends indicate continued demand for professionals in healthcare, engineering, trades, and technical fields, with many invitations favouring the Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491), particularly within ICT occupations.

The next South Australia invitation round is anticipated to take place in mid to late May 2026.

NSW nomination places for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) have officially been exhausted for the current program year. As a result, no additional subclass 190 invitations are expected to be issued until the new 2026–27 allocation becomes available.

NSW has also advised that invitations under the Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491) – Pathway 2 remain open and will continue to be issued until the remaining allocation is fully utilised.
