The Regent Theatre in Richmond, NSW, is a historic cinema that has been operating since 1935.
Designed by Moore & Dyer, architects who also designed the Parramatta Roxy (built 1930), the Regent Theatre opened on 17th July 1935 with the film "My Heart Is Calling".
The building showcases an Art Deco style with Spanish Mission influence, featuring a distinctive tower, arched windows, and decorative plasterwork.
Originally a single-screen theatre with a seating capacity of 930, it was converted to a twin cinema in 1992, with seating for 261 and 287 in each screen.
Independently owned and operated, the Regent has undergone renovations and upgrades over the years, including digital projection and a crying room for parents with small children.
The Regent Theatre is now a heritage listed building and local landmark and stands as one of the few remaining independent cinemas in NSW.
With affordable tickets and a diverse selection of films for all ages, it continues to serve the community. Retaining its original features, including the ornate ceiling and stage curtain, the Regent Theatre is a cultural treasure that deserves recognition and preservation.

Do you need to understand how to divide property to settle your relationship?

Dividing up the property acquired through a relationship can be a difficult task. A property settlement is simply a written agreement between the parties prepared by your legal adviser that can cover the financial settlement after separation, superannuation entitlements, financial support and other financial issues.

These agreements can be prepared between the parties. However, to be legally binding they require the Family Court’s consent. The consent is in the form of a document called Consent Orders that is filed with the Court.
