TRUE! Every Will must be witnessed by at least two people, who are over the age of 18 years. Witnessing must occur at the same time as the Testator signs their Will.

Note: Complex or international Wills may require more than two witnesses.

Law firms are a prime target for cyber-criminals—and the scams are getting smarter. The Legal Practitioners’ Liability Committee (LPLC) continues to see claims where clients unknowingly transfer funds to fraudsters after receiving a second “updated” email with different bank details. Once money is diverted, recovery is often limited or impossible.

At Haven Legal Co., we take this seriously. From the very start of your matter, we’ll explain our payment process and will never share account details with you via email.

If anything ever looks unusual, call us on our known number to confirm before paying.

Your quick checklist to stay :

• Never rely on email for bank details—even if the address looks right. Treat PDFs and attachments with caution. CALL US

• If you receive payment instructions, phone a known contact at our firm (don’t use numbers from the email) to verbally confirm.

• Don’t transfer funds until details are verified by phone or in person.
