I am sure I'm not alone in this but in the last couple of weeks I've really noticed the growing trend of people using AI to write serious correspondence. The problem is that AI is often eager to please, and it can confidently produce statements, admissions, or explanations that the sender may not fully understand. In some situations, those admissions can create real legal problems.

AI can certainly make a letter sound like it was written by a lawyer. It can mimic the tone, structure, and formal language. But legal strength doesn't come from impressive wording. What matters is the legal understanding behind the letter, the facts, the strategy, and the consequences of what is being said.

Before sending any important letter, remember: sounding legal is not the same as being legally correct.
