AICWA AICWA - the Peak Body representing specialist Conveyancers in Western Australia

Welcome to the AICWA (Australian Institute of Conveyancers WA Division)

The AICWA has set goals for the advancement of the profession of conveyancing in WA and is committed to best practice. The WA Division is a member of the National body being the Australian Institute of Conveyancers, and also has affiliations with the New Zealand Society of Conveyancers. Conveyancers specialise in property and have specific training and skills in all areas relating to the sale and purchase of real estate and related transactions. Conveyancers are licensed professionals providing a specialist service to those who partake in real estate transactions. To ensure best practice, ethical standards and appropriate service standards for the conveyancing profession, the Institute obliges members to adhere to a Code of Conduct. The Institute works very closely with Landgate, the Office of State Revenue and the Department of Commerce (Consumer Protection) where required to ensure benefits for the Conveyancing profession and the consumers who avail themselves of such services.

Good company, great conversations and a little learning along the way!

One of our favourite things about Luxe CPD is seeing settlement agents come together, catch up with familiar faces, meet new people and enjoy a day away from the usual office routine.

Our recent sessions at East Fremantle Yacht Club and Joondalup Resort were lovely examples of just that, and we were so pleased to hear such wonderful feedback from those who attended.

Can you spot the red flags?

Cybercrime doesn't always arrive in an obviously suspicious email.

Sometimes the sender looks familiar.
The logo looks right.
The wording sounds believable.

The warning sign might be something small:

🚩 one letter changed in an email address
🚩 unexpected urgency
🚩new payment instructions
🚩 an unusual link
🚩 a request that doesn't follow the normal process

🎓 Ready to take the next step in conveyancing?

Thinking about becoming a licensed settlement agent, or have someone in your team who's ready to take the next step in their career?

AICWA has worked with REIWA to offer a new intake of the Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing (BSB60220), commencing Tuesday, 9 February 2027!

Designed to fit around work commitments, the course provides the qualification required as part of the pathway towards becoming a licensed settlement agent in Western Australia.

Here's what you need to know:

📅 Start date: Tuesday, 9 February 2027
📍 Location: AICWA HQ
🕘 Classes: Every second Tuesday, 9:00am – 3:00pm
📖 Study: Classroom learning alongside self-paced study and assessment
⏳ Duration: Approximately 18–24 months

What would you do next?

When payment information unexpectedly changes, don't rely on the message alone.

Pause and independently verify the change using contact information you already know and trust before money is transferred.
