New temporary parent visa (Subclass 870) will be introduced soon.

The Department of Home Affairs will accept sponsorship applications from 17 April 2019, and visa applications will be accepted from 1 July 2019.

If you are an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealander, and want your parent to stay longer in Australia without coming in and out of Australia, this new temporary parent visa can be a solution.

The validity period of this visa will be up to 3 or 5 years.

If you have been thinking of brining your parents to Australia and you cannot wait for the lengthy processing time, almost 4 years at the moment, for the contributory parents visa to be granted, contact us for further details.

Great news from the Australian Embassy in Washington last Friday night! G’s partner visa applications, both temporary and the permanent visas, were approved!

G previously overstayed more than 28 days on his previous visa in 2017, and left Australia on a Bridging Visa E.

< Our success factors for the above case >

- Strong support letter to highlight the overstay was an unintentional mistake, his compliance with all visa conditions on his BVE and the compelling circumstance of the sponsor, the Australia citizen.

- Submission of a complete and strong visa application

- 6 monthly updates of documents to support their genuine relationship to avoid a request for information from the Department of Home Affairs at time of assessment.

For any partner visa enquires, please call us or send us an email.
