Curtin Law School welcomes Katherine Dowling, Senior Lawyer of Curt Hofmann & Co, to our highly experienced team of legal practitioners delivering our Practical Legal Training course. On Thursday, Katherine delivered the first session of Criminal Law to our Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice students. Criminal Law is one of four elective practice areas Curtin University students can choose to study in their final PLT intensive. Whilst students have already studied Criminal Law in their undergraduate Law courses, the PLT unit focuses on issues that arise in Criminal Law practice, with students learning how to make an application for bail, appear in a summary hearing, and present sentencing submissions.
