On Thursday last week I was invited to attend the Challenger Pitch for Health event.

Proto Axiom, Australia’s leading biotech incubator, and St Vincent’s Curran Foundation united to launch Challenger Pitch for Health, the nation’s largest medical and biotech pitch event, in Sydney in March 2026.

Challenger Pitch for Health awarded $500,000 in grants to outstanding translational research projects drawn from universities, medical research institutes and hospitals across Australia. Finalists pitched live to a panel of investors, clinicians and industry leaders, with four grants on offer.

A new national platform will bring opportunities together.

A huge congratulations to the winners who took a share $500,000 across four grant categories - Dr Melissa Thomas (also Audience Vote Winner), Professor Mike Rogers, Dr Jerry Zhou & Dr Annaliese Dillon.

All made possible by ongoing philanthropy support.

We were spoilt with a stunning day followed by an afternoon storm at The National Art School, Darlinghurst and some afternoon fun networking.
