IP Australia has introduced a new streamlined process for extension of time requests to assist applicants who have been impacted by COVID-19. Extensions of up to three months are available, free of charge, for most deadlines associated with Australian patent, design and trade mark rights.


IP Australia has introduced a new streamlined process for extension of time requests to assist applicants who have been impacted by COVID-19. Up until at least 31 May 2020, applicants can obtain a free extension of time of up to three months for most patent, design and trade mark deadlines.
