Do you have your Director ID?

If you're a company director, you need to apply for a Director ID by:
- 30 November 2022 if you became a director prior to 1 November 2021; or,
- within 28 days of your appointment if you became a director post 1 November 2021.
From 5 April 2022, persons appointed as a director of a company for the first must obtain a Director ID prior to their appointment.

You can apply for a director ID on the ABRS website at abrs.gov.au/DirectorID

More information:
The ABRS is responsible for administering the director ID initiative and has commenced issuing the below correspondence to new directors appointed for the first time after 1 November 2021 who have not yet met their obligation to obtain a director ID.

A director ID is a unique number that identifies an individual as a director of an Australian company, registered Australian body or Australian registered foreign company.

All directors need to apply for their own director ID. No one can apply on their behalf.

Penalties may apply if you don’t apply for a director ID on time.

You need a director identification number (director ID) if you're a director of a company, registered Australian body, registered foreign company or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporation.

If you call from a private number and leave a voicemail requesting a call-back, please make sure you speak clearly and it doesn't hurt to say your phone number twice. Also preferably say why you're calling. Or better yet, send an email!
This one goes out to you Jake something on 04 mumble mumble.
