Unapproved building work
Flood or contamination history

If you know about it, you need to disclose it.

The certificate confirms your pool fence and gate comply with current safety standards. If it doesn't pass, you'll need to get the work done before you can settle.

It's called mortgage portability, and it lets you move your existing home loan to a new property without refinancing.

Same rate, same terms, different address. But not all lenders offer it, and there are conditions around timing, property value, and your financial position.

There are two possible structures, which mean slightly different outcomes if things were to change with the property ownership down the track.

β†’ Joint tenants: If one of you passes away, the other automatically inherits the property.

β†’ Tenants in common: You each own a share that can be left to whoever you choose.
