💙 Nearly $30,000 Raised for Access to Justice!

What an incredible result.

As we celebrate 35 years of Hunter Community Legal Centre, we're overwhelmed by the support shown by our community. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, supporters, auction bidders and event attendees, we've raised just shy of $30,000 to help ensure people in our region can continue to access free legal assistance when they need it most.

For 35 years, we've stood beside people facing family violence, discrimination, tenancy issues, financial hardship and many other legal challenges. Every dollar raised helps us continue providing support to those who might otherwise have nowhere to turn.

We're also incredibly proud to share a powerful video created by our student volunteer, Amber Young, highlighting why this work matters and the impact community support has on the lives of those we assist.

We're so close to the remarkable $30,000 milestone. Two beautiful auction items remain available, and bidding is still open until Thursday evening.

We're thrilled to be one of the successful recipients of a Volunteer Grant! 🎉

This funding will help us continue supporting the incredible volunteers who are at the heart of the work we do at Hunter Community Legal Centre.

📍 We're having a fantastic day at the Belmont Shortland Seniors Expo at the Belmont 16s Sailing Club, connecting with local seniors, carers and community members. The expo brings together organisations and services that support older people across our region.

Our CEO Toobah and Volunteer Rebecca were on hand this morning, Nat & Madeleine are on the stall this afternoon. , sharing information and chatting with attendees about their legal rights and the support available in our community.

It's been wonderful meeting so many people and hearing the stories, experiences and questions that matter most to our local seniors.
