🇦🇺 Tasmania Skilled Migration 2026–27 is NOW OPEN!

Tasmania’s Skilled Migration State Nomination Program opens to new Registrations of Interest (ROIs) today, 17 August 2026.

For 2026–27, Tasmania has received 2,050 nomination places:

✅ 1,250 places — Subclass 190 Skilled Nominated Visa
✅ 800 places — Subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa

Weekly invitations to apply for nomination are scheduled to begin from 20 August 2026.

The new program also includes important changes to priority attributes and ranking, including revised employment and income scoring, clearer criteria, updated occupational requirements and an increased nomination application fee of $387 + GST ($425.70 including GST).

If you submitted an ROI within the last six months, it may be worth reviewing your priority attributes and score under the new settings before deciding whether to submit a new ROI.

⚠️ Tasmania has also confirmed that it will not issue invitations under the Subclass 491 Overseas Skilled Occupation Profiles – Invitation Only pathway during 2026–27.
