Is the spelling of your name on your property Title exactly the same as the name in your MyGov portal and your passport/driver's license?

Why, you ask?
Well, if you sell your property, you'll now need to apply for a Clearance Certificate from the ATO, which will be issued in the name of your MyGov account.
If the title and the ATO certificate don't match, the buyer can refuse to accept it and may need to withhold 15% of your sale proceeds to pay the ATO.

Make sure your ID, MyGov account & property Title are all in your correct legal name before you sign a contract!
