Who is a Registered Migration Agent? RMAs are professionals working in Australia who have a deep knowledge of Migration Law and Policy. They must hold a relevant University Qualification and a Professional Licence to operate. They are regulated by the Migration Agents Registration Authority and must comply with the Code of Conduct. Although you are not obliged to use a RMA, you may find the provided services very helpful. An agent:
- evaluates your circumstances
- determines whether or not you qualify for an Australian Visa
- prepares the visa application and lodges it within the Department of Immigration and Border Protection on your behalf. How will Green Wings Migration deal with you?

1. We want to know and understand as much as possible about you and your particular circumstances. We will do so through an Initial Consultation in office or visa Skype. Following the consultation you will receive a Meeting Memorandum or a full Letter of Advice, depending on the type of consultation you selected at booking.

2. Following the reception of the Memorandum or Letter of Advice, you have the right to request further explanations in case something is not clear.

3. If your pathway is clear and you wish to engage Green Wings Migration's services, we will send you a formal Engagement Agreement, completed of all applicable Terms and Conditions. You must sign the agreement and pay any required money in order to proceed further.

4. We will collect and store your money in our Clients' Account. We will not dispose of it until our job on your behalf is complete.

5. We will then start working on your application. Once it is ready to be lodged we will require you to give us final approval and pay the relevant Government Charges.

6. Our duties extend Post-lodgement, We will monitor the application process, dealing with the DIBP on your behalf and informing you of the outcome. Migration Agent Registration Number 1679969

The has launched a nationwide operation targeting the misuse of the Subclass 407 Training Visa program.

More than 100 workplace inspections have already been carried out across regional Australia, with another 100 site visits planned in the coming weeks.

Early findings revealed:
❌ Non-genuine training programs
❌ Workers placed in roles unrelated to approved training
❌ Potential exploitation of migrant workers

The Subclass 407 visa is designed for structured workplace-based training and professional development.. not as a pathway for ongoing employment.
This operation is a strong reminder that sponsors must meet their obligations and ensure training arrangements are genuine and compliant.

If you are considering sponsoring or applying under the 407 visa program, it’s important to seek proper advice and make sure all requirements are correctly met.

⚠️ BIG Changes for Subclass 491 in 2026–27 ⚠️

If you’re planning your PR pathway through the Skilled Work Regional Visa (Subclass 491), this news matters!

The Government has reduced 491 visa places from 33,000 to just 14,110.
That’s a massive 🔻57.2% reduction.

Meanwhile:
✅ Subclass 190 increased to 35,500
✅ Employer-Sponsored visas increased to 58,040
✅ Stronger priority for onshore applicants already living and working in Australia

⚠️ Fewer regional visa places available
⚠️ Higher competition for invitations
⚠️ More pressure on state nominations
⚠️ Stronger need for strategic planning early

If you’re unsure which pathway is strongest for your situation, professional advice can save you time, money, and missed opportunities.

The 2026–27 Federal Budget is here 🇦🇺
There were no major changes to migration numbers, but one thing is very clear: Australia’s migration system is becoming stricter, more selective, and more focused on skilled migration.

We’re seeing:
✔ stronger fraud checks
✔ stricter visa assessments
✔ higher Temporary Graduate visa costs
✔ more AI and Digital ID monitoring
✔ greater focus on skilled workers who support Australia’s economy

Planning ahead and preparing your application properly matters more than ever.

Many states are now prioritising employer sponsorship pathways...Why?
Because sponsored visa holders are tied to genuine workforce demand.

"Governments recognise that sponsored visa holders are generally tied more directly to genuine workforce demand, whereas migrants granted independent skilled visas may later leave the occupation or industry for which they were originally selected."

This means stronger focus on:
👉 Employability
👉 Relevant experience
👉 Industry demand
👉 Long-term workforce retention
👉 Regional commitment

In 2026, employer-sponsored visas have clearly become the main focus, and this trend shows no signs of slowing down.

💡 Migration is becoming more strategic, more selective, and far more regionally focused.

For employers, skilled migrants, and businesses alike, having the right migration strategy is becoming more important than ever.

Regional pathways, employer sponsorship, DAMAs, and long-term workforce planning are shaping the future of migration in Australia.

Always learning, always growing so we can continue providing the best support for our clients 💚
