Your Will shouldn’t necessarily be something you sign once and never think about again.
Life changes. Marriage, separation, divorce, a new partner, children or grandchildren, buying or selling property, changes to your business or significant changes to your assets can all be good reasons to review your Will.
It’s also worth considering whether the executor you appointed is still the right person and whether your beneficiaries still reflect your wishes.
Sometimes a review confirms that nothing needs to change. Other times, updating your Will can ensure your estate planning continues to reflect what you actually want.
