DJ Hinton Lawyers is a well- established firm currently seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our Sunshine Coast office on a full-time basis commencing mid December/January. The position will be full time for 8-9 months covering maternity leave with the possibility of an extension or part time work.

This role will see you provide administration and paralegal support mainly in the areas of family and property law.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting our Family Law solicitor with scheduling, billing and general file management
• Drafting correspondence, preparing court documents and land title documents
• Preparing briefs for counsel
• Ensure compliance with legislative responsibilities
• Developing and managing positive relationships with clients
• General administrative/reception duties

Key Selection Criteria

• Excellent organisational skills and an ability to multi-task
• An ability to display empathy and compassion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
• High attention to detail
• An ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
• Strong computer literacy
• Actionstep experience preferred but not essential
• Family Law experience preferred
