Welcome Felicity to Hope Earle as an Associate in our Family Law team.

Before focusing on family law, Felicity gained experience across criminal law, wills and estates, and property law. This broader legal background gives her a well-rounded perspective when advising clients on family law disputes, particularly those involving complex financial arrangements and property interests.

Fluent in Greek, Felicity also welcomes the opportunity to assist Greek-speaking clients in their preferred language, helping them feel informed and comfortable throughout the legal process.

We’re delighted to have Felicity join us and look forward to the contribution she’ll make to our Family Law practice.

You may have heard of a 'cooling-off period', but what does it actually mean?

Eligible residential property purchases generally come with a cooling-off period, giving a purchaser a limited opportunity to reconsider the transaction.
However, there are important exceptions, and exercising a cooling-off right can have financial consequences.
More importantly, a cooling-off period shouldn't replace proper due diligence before you sign.

If you're buying property, having the contract reviewed before signing can help you understand your rights, obligations and any potential issues with the transaction.

We had a great time at the La Trobe Careers Fair, connecting with students and sharing what a future in law can look like beyond the classroom.

Our Principal, Elyse Byrne, was joined by lawyers Elaine Yau and Carleigh Blobel, who shared their experiences of working in law, the opportunities their careers have opened up, and some of the many different directions a legal career can take.

We’re proud to support the next generation of lawyers and to play a part in inspiring students as they take their first steps into the profession.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with us!
