Changes to immigration fees from 1st July 2026 - Partner Visa

Dear Client,

In an unprecedented and very surprising move, Immigration announced last night that all visa fees will increase by close to 25% as of today, 1 July 2026.

Partner visa fees have increased to $11,710 from $9,365 :-(

For those of you who would like to travel overseas after lodging a partner visa, the price of the Bridging Visa B (BVB), which includes a travel facility, has also increased from $190 to $540. In the past, the duration granted for the BVB was between 3 months and 1 year (multiple entry); however, we have seen an increase in grants for a 3-year duration, which we hope will become the norm so that applicants will not be required to apply for multiple BVBs during the visa process.

Based on various publications, the department has 120,000 spouse visa applications in process, which indicates that processing times are unlikely to decrease in the near future.
