We were thrilled to host our annual BN Health Forum in Melbourne last week. A big thank you to our speakers, Michael Klim OAM, Meng Law, Megan Prictor, PhD, Dr Chris Pearce and Scott Shelly, and moderator Natalie Laidlaw, for sharing their insights on this year’s theme, Navigating Health – Innovation, Access and the Patient Journey.
In a powerful keynote, Michael Klim shared his experience of living with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) and navigating the challenges of diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care. His reflections on resilience, adapting to uncertainty and finding purpose through advocacy offered a powerful perspective on the realities of living with chronic illness.
Our panellists explored how emerging technologies, data and new models of care are reshaping the patient journey. Their discussions examined the opportunities AI presents for earlier diagnosis, personalised care and improved access to healthcare, while also highlighting the importance of privacy, informed consent, governance and maintaining the human judgement and empathy that remain central to quality care.
We're also proud to share that, on behalf of every attendee across our Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney Health Forums, BN will make a donation to the Klim Foundation to support its important work in raising awareness of CIDP.
We hope you found the forum as insightful as we did, inspiring fresh thinking about improving access, coordination and continuity of care across the patient journey.
