AUSTRALIA’S MIGRATION RULES ARE CHANGING - DOES YOUR PLAN STILL MAKE SENSE?
Australia has announced a new round of migration policy changes and some visa pathways could look very different depending on your circumstances.
🔹 Skilled Migration
New processing priorities now give priority to sectors including healthcare, construction, teaching, agriculture, resources and other key areas.
🔹 Student Visas
The Government is tightening rules around secondary applicants and visa hopping, with further changes being progressively implemented.
🔹 Visitor Visas
The Government has announced plans to introduce a No Further Stay condition on visitor visas, aimed at preventing visitor visas from being used to extend a stay through another onshore pathway.
🔹 Working Holiday Visas
Changes include a planned ballot system for second- and third-year Working Holiday Maker visas, alongside regional work requirements.
The important part?
Migration is not just about getting a visa.
It’s about understanding where that visa can take you next.
A decision that works for you today may have implications for your career, family, future visa options and pathway to permanent residence.
Before you apply, change visas, change your course, change jobs or make a major migration decision - understand your options first.
