Michael Benjamin & Associates - Wills - Video Consultations

We are pleased to offer video consultations to our community in order to provide continuity of service despite the current restrictions which prevent face to face contact.

Our staff can provide consultations and legal services via a range of easily accessible platforms, including Zoom, WhatsApp, Skype and Facetime.

In particular, residents in aged care who are unable to have contact outside their facilities will no doubt be increasingly anxious if they are unable to access legal advice and ensure that their affairs are in order.

We also offer this service to residents outside Victoria, and Australian citizens overseas wherever video conferencing is possible.

If you or anyone you know needs help in executing or updating a will, please telephone our office on (03) 9558 0558, or after hours on 0407 611 690, in order to speak with one of our solicitors to arrange a video consultation.

Michael Benjamin & Associates and Dingley Conveyancing Services will continue to operate during the current COVID-19 health crisis.

We have implemented the following measures for the protection of our clients and staff, effective immediately:

1. Our office is closed to the public other than by appointment only. The majority of client contact and meetings will now be conducted remotely. We will continue to assist with all legal and conveyancing matters including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Verification of Identity and Witnessing of Documents.

2. Face to face attendances for clients with special requirements will be provided where necessary, and facilitated on a “needs” basis rather than a “preference” basis. Please telephone our office on 9558 0558 if you feel that you need a face to face meeting with one of our staff.

3. We have progressively embraced a range of technological solutions in order to ensure continuity of service to our clients and the employment of our staff. Please ask our staff for assistance in utilising these remote means of communication.

4. Our staff have moved to a mix of remote working and in person attendance, implementing stringent social distancing and hygiene processes, in order to protect and support their health and the health of our clients.

The Law Institute of Victoria, in consultation with the Department of Justice and Regulation, has advised that legal services are vital to ensure the ongoing operation of courts and access to justice in a safe and civil society.

Accordingly, we will continue to provide all assistance possible to our community in these challenging times, and will continue to make changes and adapt our services to provide you with ongoing support as required.

Please call during business hours on 9558 0558, or after hours on 0407 611 690, if you require any further information or clarification.

Yours Faithfully
