Our Associate Mikayla Fenwick is at the Mooroolbark Salvation Army Corps today, helping local residents take an important step in planning for their families’ futures.

Parke Lawyers is donating our time and expertise to prepare simple Wills through The Salvation Army’s Community Wills Day program.

Participants donate $150 for an individual Will or $250 for a couple’s Wills. Every dollar goes directly to the Mooroolbark Corps to support services for our local community.

Thank you to the Salvos team and volunteers for organising the day. It’s a pleasure to support this community initiative again.

Can an executor administer a deceased estate without probate in Victoria?

Not every estate requires a grant of probate. However, administering an estate without one can expose an executor to significant legal and financial risks.

Banks and aged-care providers may require probate before releasing funds, and an executor who distributes an estate without a grant may not have the benefit of important statutory protections against family provision claims.
