We attended the Victorian State Nomination Information Session today and would like to share the following information:
1. VIC State Nomination ROIs will open on Monday, 26 October 2026.
2. The state aims to conduct one invitation round each month, with the first round targeted for November.
3. Last year’s highest points were 880.
4. 20% of last year’s invitations went to offshore applicants.
5. Only one ROI can be submitted, the same as in previous years. If you withdraw and resubmit an ROI, you don't have to pay again. However, if your nomination is refused and you receive another invitation, you will have to pay the nomination fee again.
6. Invitations will be issued based on the highest Victorian points, regardless of occupation, followed by the priority industry.
7. Annual Earnings calculation method will be the same as previous financial years

Victoria uses victorian points test to rank all Registration of interest, the ranking is based on seven weighted factors including age, English, years of experience in the nominated occupation, qualification, occupation skill level, and partner skill , annual earnings from skilled employment in Victoria if applicable.

NSW SC190 Onshore Criteria
how to be considered for NSW onshore sc 190 nomination for this financial year? You must meet 3 key criteria.
First, you must either be working in NSW in your nominated occupation for at least 20 hours a week, or:
residing and have continuously resided in NSW for a minimum period of 6 months.
You must hold a valid skills assessment for an occupation that is listed on the eligible skilled occupation list for subclass 190;and falls within an ANZSCO unit group on the NSW 190 skills list.
Apart from the above, you must have competent English, at least 65 points pass mark and meet all visa requirements outlined by Home Affairs.

Good news! Teachers, advertising and marketing professionals, Child Care Centre Managers, and four ICT unit groups are included on NSW’s Subclass 190 skills list for this financial year. Sports Coaches, Instructors and Officials unit group is also on the list.

🚨 NSW Subclass 190 is now open for 2026–27!

NSW expects its first invitation round to take place in the week commencing 19 October.

The updated NSW Skills List is also out, if your occupation isn't on the list, you won't be considered for NSW nomination.

Check your occupation and make sure your SkillSelect EOI is up to date!

🏗️ Which Industries Are Prioritised in Victoria state nomination this program year(2026-27)?
This year, ROIs are ranked by Victorian Points Test total within each priority industry, the priority industries are: Healthcare, Social Assistance, Education (including Teachers and Early Childhood Education), Construction (including Construction Professionals and Construction Trades).
for Early Childhood Teachers: applicants with one or more years of relevant experience and Proficient or Superior English will be prioritised.

What is the invitation process for Victoria?
When you submit your ROI, you are considered under two options:
Most Competitive: the highest Victorian Points Test totals across all eligible occupations in the pool.
Priority Industry: the highest totals within each priority industry.
There is no fixed pass mark, and the outcomes depend on the competitiveness of the pool at the time of each round.
