October is National Safe Work Month, and this year's theme is "Safe work is for life".

If you are injured at work in Victoria, report the injury to your employer, see your doctor and ask for a WorkCover certificate of capacity, keep copies of your records and receipts, and get advice early if you have questions about your entitlements.

WorkCover entitlements can include weekly payments, medical and rehabilitation expenses, an impairment benefit and, in some cases, a common law damages claim.

Tylah practises predominantly in Workers Compensation and Transport Accident claims. She brings more than eight years of experience across statutory benefits disputes, Serious Injury Applications and common law damages claims, together with a clear and considered approach to client care.

Livia supports the day-to-day office and accounts operations that allow the wider firm to work effectively. Her consistency and attention to detail are an important part of the experience we provide to clients.

This month, Tylah marks one year with NCL and Livia marks four years.

We recently hosted Dr Ash Moaveni and Dr Tony Robinson, orthopaedic surgeons from Melbourne Medicolegal who shared their perspective on the independent medical examination process.

The session gave our team the opportunity to examine the process from the clinician’s point of view and deepen the shared understanding that supports careful, well-prepared personal injury work. It was a very valuable session, with plenty of great questions and discussion.

Ade is a rising star within the WorkCover team, working alongside Managing Principal and Director Michael Tanner. This month Ade had the first six figure settlement of his career.
