When Steven came to ADM, he’d already spent 130 weeks on WorkCover and was still left with plenty of questions about what came next.

After his experience with a larger firm, he was looking for something a bit more personal. For Steven, that meant being able to speak directly with James and Krista, ask questions when they came up and actually hear back from the people handling his claim.

It’s a big part of why we choose to stay a boutique firm. You know who you’re dealing with, and you’re never just another file on someone’s desk.

And if you’re weighing up a big firm versus a smaller one for your own claim, we’ve put together a bit more about what those differences can look like here: https://bit.ly/4yaLRUm

Thanks for the kind words, Steven, and for trusting us to be in your corner.

We’re proud to share that Arnold Dallas McPherson has been recognised in the 2026 Doyle’s Guide rankings for Victoria!

Congratulations to James Casey and Shaun Marcus, both recognised as Leading Work Injury Compensation Lawyers (Plaintiff), Nicole Connors, recognised as an Injury & Compensation Law Rising Star, and the wider ADM team was recognised across several areas of personal injury law.

A wonderful acknowledgement of the experience, care and commitment our team brings to supporting injured Victorians.

Meet Kirstie 👋

Kirstie Lyons is a Partner and Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law. She's been part of the ADM team since 2010, helping clients with WorkCover, TAC and public liability claims.

Based in our Bendigo office, Kirstie spends her days meeting with clients, helping them navigate the claims process, and working to move matters forward as smoothly and efficiently as possible. And, by her own admission, drinking a little too much coffee along the way.

Outside of work, you'll usually find Kirstie spending time with her family enjoying everything Bendigo has to offer, cheering on her son from the sidelines at soccer, or baking something delicious.

What stands out most about Kirstie is the genuine care she brings to her work. She understands that people often come to us during one of the most difficult periods of their lives and is committed to helping them through it with both compassion and expertise.

As Kirstie puts it: "It is a privilege to get to know our clients and their families and to be entrusted with protecting their rights."

We're very lucky to have her on the team!!

Finding the right psychologist can feel overwhelming, especially if you're already dealing with an injury or a difficult time.

A good first step is to speak with your GP. They can help you understand what support you might benefit from, discuss a Mental Health Care Plan if it's appropriate for you, and may be able to recommend a psychologist or counsellor. They can also explain whether you're eligible for Medicare rebates.

If the first clinic you contact has a long wait, don't be discouraged. There are trusted online directories that can help you find psychologists in your area who may have availability.

The right support can make a real difference to your recovery.

We’ve put together a guide with registered psychologist Marisa Parsons, with helpful resources to point you in the right direction and help you get started: https://admlaw.com.au/blog/find-psychologists-in-australia/

One of our team members loves heading to Wilson Botanic Gardens for a walk. It's one of those places that's easy to slow down for an hour before jumping back into everything else.

Where's your favourite place to clear your head and walk for a bit?

Meet Max 👋

Max is one of our lawyers, working across WorkCover, TAC and Superannuation TPD Claims.

You'll usually find him meeting with clients, drafting legal documents or travelling between our Bendigo and regional offices. And if there's a debate about the firm's footy tipping competition, there's a good chance he's putting together a detailed analysis of that too.

Outside of work, Max spends a lot of his time with the Kangaroo Flat Football Club, where he grew up playing junior footy. These days, he's still heavily involved, coaching the Under 18s while also playing in the senior side. Being part of the local community has helped shape his passion for helping injured Victorians navigate what can often be a complex legal system.

When he's not at work or at the footy club, you'll probably find him checking out a new spot to eat around Bendigo or catching up on the latest case law with a good book.

As Max puts it: "After an injury, legal advice shouldn't feel intimidating. My goal is to make the process approachable, explain things clearly, and help people feel supported from the very first appointment."

Helping people through difficult times is why we do what we do.

Thank you, Milian, for your kind words about Shaun and the team. We wish you all the very best.

For many people, the emotional impact of a road accident can last long after their physical injuries have started to heal. Feeling anxious about getting back behind the wheel, struggling with the claims process, or seeing your family cope with everything that's happened are all experiences that deserve support too.

That's why we partnered with Amber Community, a Victorian not-for-profit that provides free counselling, support and education for people affected by road trauma. Listen to our 'Driving Safer Conversations' podcast collaboration here: https://admlaw.com.au/driving-safer-conversations/

Whether you're in Melbourne, Bendigo or somewhere in between, there's a good chance we're closer than you think.

With offices across Victoria, meeting with our team is easy. And if you can't make it into an office, we'll work with you to find an option that suits your circumstances.

Because getting legal advice shouldn't mean travelling halfway across the state.

Congratulations to our giveaway winner, Nikki! 🏉👏

Nikki stopped by to collect her tickets and a few extra goodies ahead of last weekend’s game, with our own Max Johnson doing the honours.

It was an especially fitting handover, with Max spending plenty of his time outside the office playing community footy for Kangaroo Flat FNC.

Thanks to everyone who entered, and we hope you enjoyed the game, Nikki!
