Did you suffer losses relating to Corporate Travel Management (ASX: CTD) shares?

Arnold Thomas & Becker is investigating a potential shareholder class action against CTD and its former auditor, PwC.

Joseph Braverman, Principal Lawyer with Arnold Thomas & Becker heads up the firm’s class actions team and has advised that they are well progressed with investigations into this action.

Mr Braverman said: “Shareholders are entitled to invest with confidence that the financial information released to the market fairly and accurately reflects a company's true financial performance and position.

Corporate Travel Management shareholders have seen more than 85% of the company's market value wiped away. Shareholders who suffered losses are entitled to have their concerns investigated and to understand whether the information on which they relied met the standards required by law.

Shareholders are also entitled to expect that those charged with independently scrutinising a company's financial statements, including its auditors, have discharged their responsibilities in accordance with applicable legal and professional standards”

If you acquired CTD shares between 1 October 2020 and 22 August 2025, we encourage you to register you interest. It costs nothing and doesn't commit you to anything.

Eight schools across south-west Victoria have been linked to Arnold Thomas & Becker’s ongoing investigations into allegations of historical abuse.

The allegations span several decades and involve former students who claim institutions failed to protect them, recognise warning signs or respond appropriately when concerns were raised.

Many survivors wait years before speaking about what happened. Even if the abuse occurred decades ago, the school has closed or the alleged perpetrator has died, legal options may still be available.

“I wouldn’t have claimed anything. I wouldn’t have even known to claim.”

After suffering a serious neck injury in a 2018 road accident, Ian Paterson believed he was not eligible for TAC compensation.

Years later, Arnold Thomas & Becker identified that another legal pathway may still be available.

With help from ATB lawyer Ciara Smith, Ian secured $125,000 in pain and suffering compensation, together with agreed legal costs.

Ian’s experience carries an important message: being told you do not meet one compensation threshold does not necessarily mean you have no other options.

WARNING: This post discusses child s*xual abuse and may be distressing for some readers.

A recent report by The Age shared the story of a woman named Courtney, who alleges she was r***d by a classmate when she was just six years old, and is now taking legal action, years on from when it happened.

Her story is confronting, but it isn't rare. Peer-on-peer s*xual abuse happens in schools more often than most people realise, and it's frequently misunderstood, minimised, or missed by the adults responsible for keeping children safe.

Schools have a duty of care to protect every student in their charge. When that duty is breached, survivors can still have legal options, even decades later.

If this is your story too, you are not alone, and it's never too late to ask questions about where you stand.

A significant development this week in the investigation into former Melbourne gynaecologist Simon Gordon: the Medical Board of Australia has referred him to VCAT, alleging professional misconduct.

It follows earlier reporting that he allegedly performed unnecessary and life-altering endometriosis surgeries, including organ removal, on women whose pathology results showed little or no sign of the disease.

Our Medical Negligence team, led by Principal Solicitor Emily Hart, has been representing affected women since the allegations first came to light. We're currently acting for 295 former patients, many of whom have told us they've been left with permanent physical and psychological harm, including loss of fertility, premature surgical menopause and chronic pelvic pain.

If you were treated by Dr Gordon and have questions about your options, our team is here to help, in confidence, and at no cost unless we win your case.

A former student of St Robert’s School in Geelong has commenced legal proceedings against Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools over allegations of historical child s*xual abuse by the school’s former principal.

Arnold Thomas & Becker lawyer Madison Duffy said the case demonstrates how positions of authority can allegedly be exploited to isolate vulnerable children.

“Schools have a fundamental responsibility to protect the children placed in their care. This includes having effective safeguards, proper supervision and clear avenues through which children can safely report concerning behaviour.”

Arnold Thomas & Becker represents the former student. The allegations have not yet been determined by a court.

A school staff member who was assaulted while trying to protect a student has received a six-figure compensation payout.

The staff member was one of four workers allegedly assaulted after intervening in a violent incident at Tarneit Senior College in Melbourne’s west.

The case is an important reminder that everyone has the right to feel safe at work. Workplace violence can cause serious and lasting physical and psychological injuries, and affected workers may have legal options beyond their initial WorkCover entitlements.

Arnold Thomas & Becker is proud to have supported our client in securing compensation and achieving a measure of justice following this traumatic incident.

More than 600 former students. 350 Victorian schools. Allegations spanning more than seven decades.

These are not just numbers. Each claim represents a person who may have carried the impact of childhood s*xual abuse for years, often in silence.

As reported by the Herald Sun, Arnold Thomas & Becker is investigating allegations involving schools across the government, Catholic and independent sectors. The allegations date from 1950 to as recently as 2024, including more than 20 claims relating to the period between 2000 and 2015.

Since June 2024 alone, a further 135 claims have been reported to our firm.

The scale of these allegations is devastating. It shows that abuse was not confined to one school, one institution or one period in Victoria’s history. Survivors deserve to be heard, supported and given the opportunity to pursue justice and accountability.
We acknowledge the courage of every person who has come forward.

If you experienced abuse at a Victorian school, even if it occurred many years ago, you may still have legal options. You do not need to remember every detail before seeking advice.

The Christian Brothers said they couldn't afford to compensate survivors of child s*xual abuse.

Today, there is renewed hope.

A new Memorandum of Understanding proposes that the Trustees of Edmund Rice Education Australia (TEREA) take responsibility for current and future abuse claims against the Christian Brothers' Scheme Entities, subject to Court and creditor approval.

For thousands of survivors, this could represent a significant step towards long-overdue accountability.

"Our clients have spent years navigating an incredibly hostile legal landscape," said Arnold Thomas & Becker Principal Jodie Harris.

"For decades, claims were restricted or entirely defeated by technical legal defences routinely deployed by the Christian Brothers. Today's news brings long-awaited hope to so many impacted by historical abuse."

Arnold Thomas & Becker represents more than 100 survivors of Christian Brothers institutions and more than 2,000 survivors of institutional s*xual abuse across Australia.

A Court hearing beginning on 21 September 2026 will determine how the proposed scheme will operate.

If you experienced abuse at a Christian Brothers institution, or believe you may have a claim, now is the time to seek legal advice so you understand your rights and any steps you may need to take to protect your entitlement to compensation.
