Yesterday we hosted an insightful presentation for accountants and financial advisers, on managing relationship risk for business owners and high net worth clients.

Presented by our fantastic Family Law Partner Briony Robertson, the session explored how property settlements can typically unfold in the family law system, and the proactive steps individuals can take early to help protect personal and business wealth in the event of separation, at all stages of a relationship.

Briony also discussed the importance of collaboration between accountants, family lawyers and estate planning lawyers when structuring and documenting client wealth arrangements, helping to better protect clients and minimise future disputes.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to a great discussion. It was fantastic to connect with professionals committed to taking a proactive approach to protecting their clients and businesses.

Last week we were proud to sponsor Startmate's Summer ‘26 Demo Day in Sydney; one of the biggest nights on the ANZ startup calendar.

Our Partner Angelo Mazzone and Senior Associate Matt Collins were on the ground at Carriageworks alongside founders, operators and investors, seeing firsthand the next wave of companies tackling real, high-impact problems, from construction and payments to legal and healthcare, with AI applied where it matters.

Demo Day is a reminder that some of the most ambitious, category-defining companies in the region are being built right here. Startmate continues to raise the bar, bringing together founders focused on saving time, reducing cost, removing risk and improving outcomes.
