Relationship ended during your Partner visa application? 💔
You may still have visa options available in Australia.
In certain situations, applicants may still be eligible for a permanent Partner visa even if the relationship has ended before the usual 2-year waiting period.
This may apply if you applied for or currently hold:
• Temporary Partner visa (Subclass 820)
• Provisional Partner visa (Subclass 309)
You may still be eligible if:
• You experienced domestic or family violence
• You have a child with your former partner
• Your partner has passed away
If your relationship has ended, it is important to:
• Notify the Department of Home Affairs
• Seek professional advice as early as possible
Every situation is different, and your next steps will depend on your individual circumstances.
