Who is Reyvi Mariñas?
Reyvi Mariñas is a Filipino‑Australian immigration lawyer and principal lawyer based in Melbourne, Australia, who specialises in a wide range of migration and visa matters, including employer‑sponsored visas, skilled migration, family visas, protection and humanitarian visas, and appeals to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
He provides tailored legal advice on pathways such as Australian citizenship and migration eligibility and regularly appears in media to explain migration procedures and requirements.
Mariñas holds a PhD in Law and Political Theory from Monash University and has served as a research fellow at the Melbourne Law School, where his research has focused on refugee protection, statelessness, diaspora activism and human rights discourse.
In addition to his legal practice, he has been actively involved in Filipino-Australian community organisations, including roles with the Philippines-Australia Solidarity Association (PASA), Migrante Australia and Welfare Mission for Migrants (WMM).
