🇦🇺 Have an Australian employer ready to sponsor you?

The Skills in Demand Visa (Subclass 482) allows eligible skilled workers to work in Australia for an approved sponsor, generally for up to 4 years.

For the Core Skills stream, the income threshold is AUD 79,423 for nominations lodged from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027. The nominated salary must also meet the applicable Australian market salary requirements.

Depending on your circumstances, a 482 visa may also provide a pathway towards permanent residence through the Employer Nomination Scheme (Subclass 186). It is a potential pathway, not an automatic PR outcome.

Your eligibility can depend on your occupation, work experience, employer sponsorship, salary, English and other visa requirements.
