Time to remove this dreaded sign!!
It has been a miserable three months, for everyone in Sydney, but especially for Liverpool being one of the worst effected communities throughout the delta strain of covid-19.
Seeing friends, other business owners, their shop fronts either closed or now up for lease. Years and years of dedication, sacrifice, life savings... disappeared. It has been depressing.
As we head into Christmas, traditionally the busiest time of the year for businesses, go out there and support your local businesses.
They need our support now more than ever, as much as we have missed and needed them.

All the best to the wonderful Vietnamese restaurant, Huong Xua (of Cabramatta and Canley Heights fame), who have just opened the doors to their new Liverpool shop.

Lunchtime in Liverpool has just become so much more enjoyable!

The High Court of Australia (HCA) today delivered its verdict in the much highly publicised case of ICAC v Margaret Cunneen. It was the first time in the almost thirty year history if ICAC that the HCA has had to consider and assess the scope of ICAC's powers (under the ICAC Act).

The HCA concluded (via a 4 to 1 majority) that ICAC had NO power to investigate Ms Cunneen's conduct.

We hope that everyone is having a lovely Easter. In spite of the wet weather in Sydney, isn't it great to have four consecutive days away from work!

Congrats to Cricket Australia! Worthy World Cup 2015 winners! It was so nice to hear Michael Clarke dedicate the win to Phil Hughes

How long can the Sydney property market keep running?

It is the question on everybody's minds, and something that we get asked regularly. If the sales results from Saturday are any indication, it appears as though momentum is still unbelievably strong.

Biggest ever auction day on record, 28 March 2015. There were 1128 listed auctions resulting in a mind-boggling clearance rate of 88% !!

The place where dreams are made and broken :)

A few million dollars ($7.5M) and 14 months later, the "new" Liverpool Court is now officially open for business. Outside facelift, an extra court room, improved security, improved disabled access, more interview rooms.

Given all the work done to her, it is (put it mildly) surprising, that Liverpool Court will no longer deal with indictable matters. Indictable matters are being shifted to Campbelltown Court.

In a high publicity case, at Parramatta Local Court today, we represented a bus driver charged with "drive in a manner dangerous to the public". This offence carries a disqualification of 3 years. The Court imposed a 14 month disqualification period on our client.

Lengthening prison terms and hence keeping offenders behind bars longer is not the solution to reducing crime in NSW...

Excellent report by the NSW Bureau of Crime and Research. See below -

These are some major changes to a first home benefits regime that has been ongoing for the past 7 years. How this news impacts our work, price pressures, and customer attitude, only time will tell.
