The team at James Fuggle Rummery acknowledge the hardship and sorrow caused by the recent floods in the Northern Rivers. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was affected. In addition, our team members have been actively involved in the emergency response and subsequent recovery from the devastation caused throughout our region. Our hearts go out go all who are suffering at this time
Needless to say, our business premises were inundated by flood water during the Lismore flood. Our office premises are being assessed and once made safe for re occupation we will again be operating from them, however, in the meantime we are still available to look after your legal needs.
Each of our solicitors is working remotely from home, appointments can be made for conferences, which will be held by telephone or Audio Visual Link using Zoom. Our telephones are available for making appointments and our emails are operating.
The vast majority of our files are held electronically on the "Cloud" and this allows us to maintain continued representation of our clients.
For those with Court matters presently before the Court, the Court Houses in the region have been affected by flooding and arrangements are being made in respect of the management of Court business. As and when we receive information in respect of individual Court matters, we will be advising our individual clients accordingly.
For those with important documents stored with us, we are pleased to advise the vast majority of them are safe and dry. Additionally, to ease concerns, Certificates of Title in respect of land were effectively made redundant last year and are now in electronic form.
Once again, we acknowledge all those suffering at this time and will continue to assist both professionally and personally in the recovery effort.
