It was a great day and we are proud to be apart of the Giving day.

💙 $115,000 RAISED FOR LGH GIVING DAY! 💙

What an incredible result — and what an incredible community.

Thanks to the generosity of Northern Tasmania, our 2026 LGH Giving Day raised almost $115,000 to support patient care initiatives at the Launceston General Hospital.

We began the day with an ambitious goal of $80,000. We reached it by midday, set ourselves a new challenge of $100,000, and by the end of the day, you had helped us well and truly surpass it.

This result belongs to our whole community.

To our generous, matched donors, thank you for helping every donation go further and inspiring others to give.

To the businesses and organisations who supported Giving Day, promoted the campaign and rallied behind the cause, thank you.

To the wonderful LGH staff, thank you for embracing Giving Day and for everything you do, every day, for patients and families across our region.

To our incredible volunteers, whether you were manning donation stations, helping at the BBQ, making calls, collecting donations or simply lending a hand wherever it was needed, we could not have done it without you.

And to every single person who donated, whether it was $5, $50, $500 or more, thank you. Every donation played a part in this extraordinary result.

Our next step is to work with LGH staff and management to determine which project or projects from this year’s Giving Day wish list will be funded.
