This week, we have been fortunate enough to be in attendance at the Criminal Law Association of the Northern Territory's (CLANT) biennial conference, held in Bali. The conference has been an excellent professional development opportunity, with criminal lawyers, judges and others in the criminal justice system from around Australia coming together to discuss shared issues.
We have attended seminars, legal panels and cultural awareness workshops discussing contemporary criminal justice system reforms, cross-jurisdictional legal standards, indigenous representation, professional development and human rights.
We are looking forward to implementing our learning into our everyday practice upon our return to the office next week!
