NSW recorded the highest aggregate value of sale settlements during the Sept 2022 qtr. $55.0B was spent on property in Australia’s most populous state, driven by spend on residential property ($47.7B).

Here’s some Important information when owning a Strata Unit:

Renovations - there are 3 types:-

1. COSMETIC WORK (painting, installing blinds , curtains or built-in wardrobes, laying carpet)- These works do NOT need approval by the Owners Corporation.

2. MINOR RENOVATIONS (renovating kitchen, installing hardwood floorboards, reverse cycle air conditioner - Approval IS required by the Owners Corporation.

3. MAJOR RENOVATIONS (structural changes to internal walls, waterproofing and changes to ceilings) - A special resolution vote at an annual general meeting IS required prior to the renovations.
